I have a slight problem with my acoustic gig bag. The inside of the case is badly ripped at the top where it covers the tuners on the guitar, because the ends of the strings wound around the tuners are getting caught in the material on the inside of the case. Any quick remedies for this?

I tried putting tape over the ripped area to prevent it from continuing to get stuck on the guitar but the tape just comes off.

Get the top off a tub of butter and cut it out to the shape of your case then hot glue gun it in place. it's what my guitar teacher did with his. Hope this helps.

One of the hard plastic ones? Will that damage the guitar at all?

Yeah one of the plastic lids. It shouldn't harm the guitar, the only part that would touch it would be the tops of the tuning pegs.

Alright, I never thought of that but I'll definately give it a try. You would think that the makers of gig bags would recognize this problem and have something built in to fix it, wouldn't you?

Why they want to fix it because if one rips someone wouldn't think of repairing they would just buy another... which equals more money for the company... ah ha!

I love how my no-name brand electric gig bag, which I bought off of someone for $5 has hardly ripped, yet the strap broke in the first week on my $30 Fender acoustic bag, and now the inside is getting ripped off too.

Fender is overrated! ;)

Haha, yeah it is ridiculous that all they are about is money and they don't care about the product

its an extra tight vinyl/silk cover no scratchs to the head stock and has a dense foam all over the body, ive dropped them, had them crushed, and my came out fine(out of tune but meh) i highly recommend them
