So Mesa amps are usually highly regarded amongst guitarists.. but I gotta question them.
I've been to a few guitar centers and played a few Mesa combo amps. I was not impressed AT ALL with the Lonestar combos I've tested, and today another combo that had wimpy sound.. couldn't get it to sound clear, really muddy. (not sure of model name, but it was straight black with a mesa logo...)
I've played a dual rectifier stack at guitar center in west palm beach that sounded pretty good, but then again I couldn't really crank it at all...
Anyway, what's the deal with all these Mesa Boogie amps being so freakin expensive and not sounding too great?
